A Hybrid, in Land Rover terms, is a vehicle that's been custom built from different donors. A typical example might be a defender body on a 100 inch Range Rover Chassis to give a compromise between the 90 and 110 wheelbases that the factory supplies.

There are also a number of kit cars based on Land Rover bodies, including the Dakar 4x4.
